I've created a list showing all 36 new LEGO® elements added in April 2022, with links to which sets they come in so you can check for the ones you might be interested in. And for those of you who instead prefer our list of sets showing which contain the most new elements, click here.
It's a short list, as a lot of April sets are released later in the month. These will be included in the May 2022 list.
Some interesting parts:
- In the Potential New Moulds we find 86695. It's unclear at the moment what the difference between this part and 25264 is. We've seen a number of headwear getting a new mould number recently, mostly because the material is changed from rubber to ABS.
- The 2 new moulds are both found in 10300 Back To The Future Time Machine which Kev Levell has already reviewed for us.
As usual we have split up the list into 4 major groups:
- New Moulds - Elements that are new shapes (or existing ones that have been amended in some way).
- Recolours - Existing elements that have been colour-changed.
- New Prints - Elements that have a never-before-seen printed decoration. Note, if a new printed is also a New Mould or a Recolour, it will appear in those groups rather than in New Prints.
- Potentially New Moulds - LEGO has probably updated the mould but this can be such an insignificant change to builders, Rebrickable merge the new element with the older one. But if it is a larger change that alters the functionality of the part, Rebrickable give it its own listing. They don't know until someone has the old and new elements in hand to check for differences, so if you have them please contact TobyMac via Rebrickable.

Do we have any response from Lego as to how long it will be before new parts are put on Pick a Brick now? And are they holding back just new molds or also recolors?

DeleteThanks for the update. Oof that's a long wait. I have a hard time waiting month to month, but it is what it is I guess. At least I'll have a longer chance to plan out my purchases now.
DeleteThe 3-month news is not confirmed. Seems to have come from Customer Services prior to a decision being made - but given CS have gone ahead and said that, I guess it might be what TLG go with in the end. Dunno.
DeleteHow hard is it for TLG to take a decision and communicate it?
DeleteCommunication has never been their strong suit. From my experience (~10 PAB orders a year, last one in january) is that when there is a delay between release dates in Europe and the USA, the new parts only appear at the later date.
DeleteThe black ziplines and purple dino tails are definitely what caught my attention the most!
