Apparently it’s a new trend: Tiny Houses. On one hand, I like the concept: less room means less building materials, heating, maintenance and footprint but just thinking about living in one makes me claustrophobic. I’m not a fan of small spaces. I need room to breathe and move...besides, where would I store my LEGO in a Tiny House?

New Molds
The first new mould comes in the form of Cupboard 2 x 3 x 5, found here in Orange (6409779 | 2656). This can best be seen as the taller sibling of Cupboard 2 x 3 x 2 (92410). The lower 2 openings can both fit the Cupboard Drawer 2 x 3 (4536 and new 78124). The cupboard comes with a new door, Door 1 x 3 x 5 in White (6409780 | 2657). Note that the door does not connect if any drawers are placed in the cupboard. The cupboard and door are used in this set as a fridge.
Recolors
The entrance to the house consist of Door 4 x 6 with Pet Door, appearing for the first time in Bright Light Yellow (6422092 | 79730). A generously sized pet door means that your pet goat or foal can fit through, not just a little kitty.
All other recolors are in Lavender, seen here on the front row:
- Plate 1 x 1 in Lavender (6099363 | 3024) is one of those ‘I could swear that on already existed’ elements.
- Wheel Arch, Mudguard 4 x 2 1/2 x 2 in Lavender (6429737 | 50745)
- Window 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front in Lavender (6422081 | 79128)
In the back row, we find two rare Lavender elements:
- Plate Special 1 x 4 with 2 Studs with Groove [New Underside] in Lavender (6405554 | 41740) has only appeared in 1 set in 2022.
- Door Frame 1 x 4 x 6 Type 2 in Lavender (6344416 | 40289) had appeared in 3 sets before this wave of sets came out, but is also found now in 41724 Paisley’s House and 41741 Dog Rescue Van from the latest Friends wave of sets.
Those are not the only Lavender elements in the set as there are 11 different types of elements found in this color, with a total quantity of 54. This set would be an interesting parts pack if your MOC needs a variety of elements in Lavender.
Rare Elements
Aside from the Lavender, there are more rare elements:
- Brick Round, Half 1 x 2 in White (6382983 | 68013) has been seen in 3 other sets.
- Brick Special 1 x 2 with 2 Studs on 1 Side in Medium Nougat (6411587 | 11211) appeared in 2 sets prior, one of which was the Employee Gift Set.
- Equipment Cleaver, 2 Holes in Bright Yellowish Green/ Lime (6395774 | 79811) has only been seen in 41705 Heartlake City Pizzeria from 2022.
- Brick Special 1 x 1 with Headlight and Slot in Light Royal Blue/ Bright Light Blue (6387434 | 4070) was introduced last year in 1 set.
Animals
The set comes with 4 new animals:
- Churro, also known as Grumpy Cat is a completely new mold: Animal, Cat, Chubby with Orange Spots, Olive Green Eyes, Grumpy print in White (6428858 | 103320)
- Animal, Squirrel with Brown Eyes, Winking Print is a new print in Dark Orange (6416486 | 101151).
- Melody is Paisley's pet bunny, Animal, Rabbit / Bunny, Baby Sitting with Medium Nougat Eyes, White Nose Print is both a recolor and a new print in Sand Blue (6416680 | 101279).
- Popcorn is Liann’s pet, and comes in both a new color and print: Animal, Salamander with Black Eyes, Dark Orange Spots print in Flame Yellowish Orange/ Bright Light Orange (6416784 | 101304)
Minidolls
Paisley:
- New moulded Hair, Long Wavy Across Face in Dark Red (6409769 | 2645)
- New printed head (6416490 | 101155) and torso (6429477 | 73141)
- New moulded Minidoll Legs Wide Pants with Dark Blue Shoes print in Aqua/ Light Aqua (6416494 | 101159)
Liann:
- New moulded Hair Long with Bun in Black (6409763 | 2633)
- New printed head (6416546 | 101186), torso (6423886 | 73141) and legs (6423146 | 36198)
Leo:
- Hair Scruffy and Swept Right in Reddish Brown (6284153 | 40938) has appeared in 1 set in 2019 before
- New printed head (6416551 | 101191), torso (6430290 | 73161) and legs (6422464 | 2268)
- Side-note for Leo: After I had taken all the photos of the finished build, I found out I picked the wrong version. He’s wearing the correct torso in the photo above.
The Build
The build starts off with a camping site, with a campfire, some shapely trees and a curious squirrel.
Next up is the car complete with roof rack and roof box, maybe for a pet to sit in.
Despite the small size, all Minidolls can fit inside, although the one in the back has a restricted view.
Inside there is a bathroom with the kitchen opposite. I hope there is some sort of divider between the 2 rooms. In the kitchen, the new cupboard is used as the fridge. I assume the small pile of round tiles next to it is a scratching post for Churro?
Upstairs is accessed by small ladder steps and here we find the beds under a foldable roof. I assume the drinking bottle is meant for the bunny.
On the side of the house is a foldable table with chairs. It looks like Churro is not impressed by the brand of cheese the friends brought on the trip.
Conclusion
The Tiny Mobile House is a fun playset, which also offers some interesting elements, especially in Lavender. The playability is high, and I think children will love it as the interior is very accessible with the split-opening mechanism and ability to raise the roof portions.
I do have one issue with it though, and that is the roof. On the top, there is a big gap between the 2 roof sections. In fact it is so big that I double-checked to make sure I didn’t make an error during construction. Also on the sides are some ugly gaps. I don’t think children will mind while playing with the set, but the gaps really affect the aesthetics of an otherwise great looking set.

I believe that the lime cleaver was also in the Koenigsegg Jesko Speed Champions set from 2021.
ReplyDeleteI kinda question the need for a toilet without sewerage, but perhaps it's useful for privacy in a crowded place. That basin would indicate there'd be a tank of clean water sometimes, as well, I guess...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid one of my friends had a camper with a toilet that when flushed just had piece that slid to the side and opened up to the ground.... Maybe there was supposed to be a tank under it but I never found out
DeleteI'd assume more modern vehicles would have actual tanks. Maybe even systems to compress the waste and such. (Possibly also regulations on how to discard of it.)
DeleteGood review!
ReplyDeleteThose Lavender parts look useful—especially that 1x1 plate. I remember several years back I tried to make a "BrickHeadz" figure of Amethyst from Steven Universe and was frustrated by how few basic sorts of plates existed in Lavender for sculpting her hair.
That dark red hair piece has a real 'cartoon network/disney channel style. I like that they've moved away from the rubber hair pieces.
