What are the new LEGO® parts in May 2024 sets?

I've created a list showing all 208 new LEGO® elements added in May 2024, with links to which sets they come in so you can check for the ones you might be interested in. And for those of you who instead prefer our list of sets showing which contain the most new elements, click here.

The majority of sets are LEGO® Star Wars, with LEGO® Minifigures Series 26 and the new theme LEGO® Despicable Me 4 bringing plenty of novelty items.

Which is your favorite for May?

We have divided the elements in the usual 6 groups.

  • New Moulds - Elements that are new shapes (or existing ones that have been amended).
  • Recolours - Existing elements that have been colour-changed.
  • New Prints - Elements that have a never-before-seen printed decoration. Note, if a new printed is also a New Mould or a Recolour, it will appear in those groups rather than in New Prints.
  • Potentially New Moulds - LEGO has probably updated the mould but this can be such an insignificant change to builders, Rebrickable merge the new element with the older one. But if it is a larger change that alters the functionality of the part, Rebrickable give it its own listing. They don't know until someone has both elements in hand to check.
  • Return of the Element - Elements that already exist, but have been out of production for a few years.
Within each of the 6 groupings, we divide elements by their category.

Each element has links to search for the element on Pick a Brick. However, LEGO take a minimum of 3 months to add new elements to Pick a Brick, so none of these elements will be available yet. You can check our list of the latest elements added to Pick a Brick here.

      Well, if you look at, for example the TIE Interceptor, all printed parts are missing from the LEGO Inventory. Samen for the Droideka info tile, or the new Darth Maul BrickHeadz eye. Also the Kawasaki "fuel tank" panels are still missing from LEGO inventory.

      Possibly some Lego employee hasn't gotten around to upload the information, yet. There are fairly many pieces on Pick-a-Brick without images, as well.

      Ah, I thought you meant in the list here. For the May wave, the CS system doesn't have any of the new elements yet. That's also why the list is a bit later: all inventories and parts needed to be created by hand on Rebrickable. Luckily we still got the EID images (for the most part). There are still some images missing, that does indeed happen every now and then for some reason. The Kawasaki could be an IP thing, but that doesn't explain why some of the TIE Interceptor do and some don't have an image.

      Looks like the color id in Unknown elements are all set to 14 for some reason. I'll have a look at the script.
