Both sets come with flowerpots with a golden band of similar style, and reddish brown stands.

LEGO Chrysanthemum
This 278-piece set includes a chrysanthemum in full bloom, one blossoming and two budding. The pot is sand green.
It measures over 10.5 in. (26 cm) high, 4 in. (10 cm) wide and 3.5 in. (9 cm) deep.

LEGO Plum Blossom
This 327-piece set features a single, branching stem with dozens of blossoms – again in varying states of bloom.
It measures over 13.5 in. (34 cm) high, 6.5 in. (17 cm) wide and 3.5 in. (9 cm) deep.

Will LEGO release Botanical Collection Orchid and Bamboo?
It is notable that these are two of the four flowers known in Chinese culture as 四君子 (Sì Jūnzǐ); the "Four Noble Ones". You might recognise them if you have played Mahjong, and they often appear in classical Chinese art paintings of birds with flowers. They each represent different virtues in harsh conditions, and are also associated with the seasons of the year.
The other two are the orchid and the bamboo; might we be seeing LEGO versions of those in the spring/summer that match the vases of these two? We hope so, because these are gorgeous!
We've already had an orchid from the Botanical Collection though. Maybe we can swap the vases? Or perhaps they'll release a different orchid.

Those recolors in the chrysanthemum set are gorgeous—though seems like I hoped in vain that some of those oranges might be the new reddish orange.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course I love both set designs, they're gorgeous, perfectly sized, and affordable. Very much looking forward to both sets and the potential for orchid and bamboo sets as follow-ups.
Actually, looking at the renders (which look less washed out than some of the photos), I think some of those might actually be reddish orange (the octagonal plate on the smaller blossom and the lowest ring of bananas on the larger one look like they may be that color, with the "buds" being bright orange instead of flame yellowish orange). I suppose we'll find out in reviews.
