LEGO Wreath set

Official description

Suitable for wall and table decoration, the LEGO Icons Wreath makes a great gift idea for the holiday season or any other special occasion.

A woman shows how the wreath can also be constructed as a wavy garland instead of a ring

The 1,194-piece wreath comes with four hanging loops and can also be displayed in garland configuration.

The two versions of the Lego Wreath set. One has red berries and dried orange slices made of Lego, the other has blue berries and pine cones.

Choose between red, blue and white berries or create your own combination. Position the orange slices, cinnamon and pinecones, and pose the rich green foliage for that perfect look.

Recoloured pieces

There's only one Christmas gift we want – lots of new pieces!

A close up showing the three colours of berries provided with the set. Each bunch actually contains two similar colours, for variation. The three pairings are: red with reddish orange, white with yellowish green, and blue with dark blue.

This is a great set for the Technic Ball Joint (32474). In among the Red, White and Blue ones are a few rare colours: Yellowish Green is new for this part, and the orange ones might be Reddish Orange; if so that is a recolour too.

The Dark Blue ones are not new but rare, having only appeared in set 80107 Spring Lantern Festival in 2021. They are attached to Plant, Flower, Plate Round 1 x 1 with 5 Petals (24866) in Dark Blue, which is new.

Lego pieces strewn on a table and in bowls.

You can't help but notice that Dish 6 x 6 Inverted with Solid Studs (44375) in Trans-Orange printed as an orange! This one is not a recolour, but the print is new. It works so well!

The pine needles are constructed out of many stacked Plant, Flower Stem with Bottom Pin (24855). The tips are regular Green, but the Dark Green ones are new to this colour.

Another useful Dark Green recolour in this set is Bar Holder with Hole and Bar Handle (23443, 49755) which you can see at the top of the picture above.

But you are more likely drawn to Plant, Palm Leaf Small (6148) in Sand Green, only the sixth colour of this 30 year-old element!

A far more recent leaf, Plant, Leaf 2 x 6 x 1 with 2 Studs (3565) comes in two new colours: Olive Green and Dark Green.

The pine cones are simply exquisite, and they harbour two perfectly chosen new Dark Brown recolours: Hat / Flat Cap, Old Style (2514) and Plate Special 1 x 1 with Tooth (49668).

The rear side of the wreath showing the exposed underside of lego plates. Nested within some plates is a hole in the shape of a picture hook.

To hang your wreath or garland on the wall, there are several Plate Special 2 x 6 with Wall Mount Hook (78168). It's hard to tell the colour here – of the existing colours, only Light Aqua seems possible, but it looks greener than that to us. Maybe Yellowish Green or Sand Green? Any shade of green would be a recolour.

That's all we found, but surely it's plenty! Did you see any more?

LEGO Poinsettia set

Both sides of the box of the LEGO Poinsettia set

Official description

This posable LEGO plant replica depicts a ‘Grande Italia’ poinsettia. Nestled in a woven-basket flowerpot, it features green leaves and five clusters of vibrant red leaves (bracts) with yellow cyathia at the center. Easy to assemble, this 608-piece model delivers a rewarding building experience and makes an elegant display for the home and office.

Recoloured parts

What a Christmas present this is – so many colour-changed parts are included!

Closeup of the smaller flowers in the LEGO Poinsettia set

The smaller flowers primarily consist of Large Figure Weapon 6 Blade Ninja Star / Shuriken (41125), which comes new in both Dark Red and Dark Green.

But perhaps the most prominent, and most exciting recolour in this set is featured on the mature blossoms: a the mould introduced in June by LEGO® Friends, Flag 2 x 4 Triangle (5555) – now in Red.

The flags connect to T-bars in Reddish Orange (6486091 | 4697) which premiered in 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale, and are currently available on LEGO Pick a Brick

The T-bars then connect into a part that has also been recoloured, but you can't really make it out underneath the flower...

...so here's a clear view! Sitting with the red flags is the "Ninja ring" Plate Special 1 x 1 with Hole Through Stud, 3 Bars and 3 Bar Holes (1941), also new in Red.

Also visible above is a piece which we can say is new because it has never appeared in sets: Technic Wedge Belt Wheel [aka Pulley] in Green (4185, 49750, 65668), but it did appear in LEGO Brand Stores at one time.

Another new green part above is Technic Pin Connector Hub with 1 Pin with Friction Ridges Lengthwise (15100, 65487) in Green, a welcome addition for creating foliage of all kinds. Similarly, in the centre of the picture above you can see the useful Plate Special 1 x 2 with Pin Hole Underneath (18677, 28809) in Dark Green for the first time.

Below the flags we spotted Wedge Sloped 4 x 4 Pointed (22391) new in Dark Red. And the cute little flowers are Hair Small Tuft (68212), new in Bright Light Yellow.

Looking at the lowest leaves on the plant, you can see some leaves with studs. These are made from pairs of Plate 2 x 4 27° Left and Right (65429 and 65426), both new in Dark Green.

Coming right down to the pot, the large curved pieces at either end of the 2x4 tiles are Slope Curved 3 x 4 x 2/3 Triple Curved with 2 Sunk Studs (93604) new in Medium Nougat.

So although this is the smaller of the two upcoming sets, it still packs a significant punch in the recolour department!

  1. The hanging piece in the wreath seems lime to me. In fact I would even say it seems lime to me *very clearly*. And the 4x6 and 2x2 plates look to be dark brown. But of course, even something that I find very clear could still be wrong :)

    1. Weird, it's the part you see through its hanging hole that I think looks lime! Well we will soon find out :)
