Contest entry gallery: Mind that Banana

Posted by Admin

Our building contest – where you had to use a LEGO® banana, but were not allowed to make a banana – has finally split. Entries closed earlier today, and now it is up to our three judges to pick the most apeeling creations. In the meantime, you can enjoy all 103 entries yourself, thanks to all the wonderful participants who joined in and showed off their creative skills!

Judging

We don't have an exact date when we will announce the winners, but don't worry, the three judges are already underway reviewing the entries. Experience shows that judging can be pretty tough – it's so hard to cull down so many fantastic entries, and to do so in agreement! And two of them work for LEGO, so we don't want to distract them from their essential work too much, right?

Our esteemed judges are:
  • Mathias Julin, product designer – lead designer of our main prize, the LEGO Fortnite Peely Bone set!
  • Markus Rollbühler, senior product designer – working on LEGO Lunar New Year Festival sets left him with banana trauma, but he's happy to overcome that for us!
  • Thomas Jenkins, one of New Elementary's totally na-na contributors!

Prizes

There will be 7 prizes given in total: 5 equal first place winners, 1 second place winner and 1 third place winner. Entrants were allowed to enter multiple times, so they might win more than one prize if they made many utterly awesome things.
