In what is surely our final update on LEGO® Pick a Brick for 2024, we have been informed that the service has temporarily paused "Standard" elements in the US and Canada over the holiday period as usual. However, "Bestseller" elements remain fully operational, with over 4000 elements available with fast delivery.

Canada: note that they are temporarily unable to ship orders to certain rural areas due to the ongoing disruptions with Canada Post.

In Europe, Australia and New Zealand, there’s no change because everything is now available through the Bestseller service! There is one change though: you will see that the site has been updated to completely remove this Bestseller/Standard distinction. Hooray! A great and symbolic end to an incredible year of improvements from the Pick a Brick team. Can't wait to see what 2025 brings!

  1. Seeing as some people in various servers have PAB standard orders still waiting since at least OCT 8th, which is still within the 40 business day window, I think this is the right call, allows them to catch up on the backlog and get things out the door.

    1. Today is business day 47 after October 8th... My two (very small) standard orders from October 9th haven't been shipped yet, but several Bestseller orders from mid-October to early December have been shipped and delivered. Let's see how the merger in Europe affects these older standard orders.

    2. Have a small but expensive order including the D&D cape/wing set waiting since Oct 11th, still no sign of movement. Asked last week what was going on and just told the standard response that it should be with me soon... I'm UK based for anyone wondering

    3. I'm uk based and have an ordered from 20th October, lego have told me that they have even got the Xmas elf minifigures working to try and clear the backlog of standard parts.

  2. In Canada it's not just rural areas. Canada Post has been on strike for a month now, everyone is impacted nationwide. I got an email from Lego a few days ago notifying a shipment just sent (from Europe I assume) for an order I placed long ago. No idea if / when I'll receive the package.

    1. Know what day that order was from? I've got an order from October 20 that still hasn't shipped.

  3. As a Swede, I also have several older orders waiting. Even though I understand manually sorting all of these orders can be tough, I hope things could work simpler in the future.

    1. Now my very last order just arrived, so I guess they might work through their backlog backwards. Curious, but hopeful.

  5. I have both a bestseller and a standard order from late October that have yet to ship to me here in Australia (I hope they get here sometime soon although thankfully the next show isn't until March)

  6. 'Everything' is not available through Europe. They just marked the standard items as out of stock instead. Was waiting for 6510198 - hopefully fulfilled next year, but the day Standard items were removed, this mysteriously went out of stock along with the rest of my standard basket.

    1. Several parts that previously were "Standard" aren't even marked as out of stock, they've simply disappeared! Some examples: 1748 in green, 35243 in clear (6507916), 3576 in clear and 6440804 (hourglass with gold sand). Let's hope they return soon.
