The only new element in 40701 Ballerina & Nutcracker Scene is found in the ballerina herself; her white torso features a new print.
These elements have appeared in only one or two other sets:
- 8x Glass for Window 1 x 2 x 3 Flat Front in Black (6476097 | 35287, 60602) in one other set
- 2 x Panel 3 x 3 x 2 Quarter Round in White (6472652, 6508091 | 3535) in one other set
- 2 x 78594 Panel 2 x 2 x 5 Corner in Medium Nougat (6469953, 6499103 | 78594) in two other sets
There is a sticker sheet with some useful designs. Unfortunately they are all applied to the rarer elements I just listed, so you may wish to leave them off.
Most of the build is pretty simple, giving us a pretty but detailed stage for the ballerina to perform her dance upon.
