International LEGO® Day 2025: moulding knowledge quiz
28 January marks the "birthday" of the LEGO® brick — the anniversary of the day in 1958 when the patent of the LEGO System 2x4 brick was submitted to the trademark office in Denmark. This is celebrated today as International LEGO Day.
As a way to celebrate as only New Elementary can, we decided to test your LEGO moulding knowledgeby posing a series of questions on our social media asking you to identify items in an image. Here are the questions and also the answers, so let's see how many you have right.
LEGO® Pick a Brick: new elements added in February 2025
LEGO® Pick a Brick (PaB) have added new elements to the service. These are pieces from sets released in October 2024.
Given people are still waiting for October 2024 orders, we understand why many of you will not be ordering anything, but we will continue publishing these lists in the meantime. We have no further update from the Pick a Brick team, so we assume the situation the explained last month is still the case.
Vincent Van Gogh – Sunflowers from LEGO® Art: designer reveal
Available to pre-order now, and released on 1 March 2025, the LEGO® Art theme returns to Vincent Van Gogh's work with a Sunflowers LEGO set.
LEGO Art 31215 Sunflowers was revealed to us last year at Fan Media Days by Fiorella Lee Groves, creative lead and Stijn Oom, the set's lead designer. The following coverage of the set reveal has been edited for readability and narrative flow.

LEGO® Ideas set 21354 Twilight – The Cullen House has just been revealed! Designed by California-based LEGO fan Nick Micheels, and developed into a product by the LEGO Ideas team with designer Laura Perron, it is available to pre-order today and will be released on 4 February 2025.

LEGO® BLUEY™ sets coming in June 2025
Goodness gravy! This teaser image and an equally teasing video have just been released for official BLUEY™ LEGO® sets, coming to the LEGO 4+ and LEGO® DUPLO® product lines in 2025. For real life!
The six products will not be revealed until the (Northern Hemisphere) springtime, and will be available to buy from 1 June 2025.

Alienator B-model: alternate build of LEGO® 10355 Blacktron Renegade
The LEGO® Icons Blacktron Renegade is now available to all, and the B-model instructions are on the LEGO building instructions portal, meaning I could finally construct the walker and repair mech alternate builds.

Review: 40756 Lucky Knots GwP from LEGO® Lunar New Year
LEGO® Lunar New Year (aka Chinese Traditional Festival) sets have become increasingly popular since their introduction in 2019. As well as two new releases this year – 80116 Trotting Lantern and 80117 Good Fortune, which I recently looked at the new parts of and shall be reviewing in full very soon – we also get a Gift with Purchase (GwP) in this theme, 40756 Lucky Knots. Now I'm going to take a closer look at the set itself.

Review: 30701 Field Flowers from LEGO® Botanicals
There has never been a LEGO® Botanicals polybag; but in 2025 there will be a LEGO Botanicals paper-based bag! It seems that polybags are so 2024 and next year's small impulse sets will be stored in something else. I like this change – the grainy print of the paper section feels more appropriate to this set. It's a bit like the seed bags sold to gardeners.
