Goodness gravy! This teaser image and an equally teasing video have just been released for official BLUEY™ LEGO® sets, coming to the LEGO 4+ and LEGO® DUPLO® product lines in 2025. For real life!
The six products will not be revealed until the (Northern Hemisphere) springtime, and will be available to buy from an undisclosed date later in 2025.
What we know so far
Bluey is a celebration of the role of imaginative play in shaping healthy children. Unstructured, self-directed play allows Bluey to create and explore her world autonomously.
– from the original press release, 4 September 2018, TV Tonight
It’s been a long time coming ... the Bluey brand has play at the heart of everything they do, which aligns perfectly with the LEGO brand values and mission.
LEGO Bluey models by fans
This announcement confirms at least one reason why Bluey LEGO® Ideas submissions, such as the popular submission by Monkey Scout shown above, did not get approved.
Bluey has been a popular subject for adult fans too, but perhaps the most jaw-dropping model is this one by Tom Scott (TheBrickShelf) that was displayed a year ago at Melbourne's Brickvention public LEGO show. (Which, by the way, is happening again next weekend 18 and 19 January 2025, although this particular model won't be on display there are always hours' worth of amazing LEGO creations to look at).
What and who is Bluey?

This line of sets should have a limited availability in Australia like in the 90’s when certain high value sets where not available and as a Australia, New Zealand, Pacific release cop what we get down here and only available from selected to retailers with in person pick up and no Internet sales, how’d you like them apples
ReplyDeletethose apples taste a bit bitter, I imagine Bandit will want to intervene to teach about forgiveness.... :-)
DeleteThat IDEAS model was denied every year for the last three years. I supported four of them (in lieu of my adult sister, who loves Bluey but doesn't do IDEAS) including the one currently under review, and now I'm sad it won't happen. We need something for the adult fans. (I will make it fit into my city as well, and I'm sure it would be a hit for kids at LUG shows!)
