Posted by Elspeth De Montes

Between 1 and 7 January 2025, all purchases of the LEGO® Icons 10350 Tudor Corner set will receive 40757 Corner Kiosk as a free gift with purchase (GwP), while stocks last – and it already appears to be sold out in some countries.

We have already taken an in-depth look at 10350 Tudor Corner, so now let's open the GwP for a closer look.

New elements

One mould popped up as a new element, but really it is just the first time the 2x2 dome has appeared in dark red after a design change that is insignificant to builders: a vented stud rather than just recessed.

  • 1x Brick Round 2 x 2 Dome Top - Vented Stud with Bottom Axle Holder x Shape + Orientation in Dark Red (6429069 | 3262)

Rare elements

In three or fewer sets:

6 lego parts

  • 2x Plate Special 2 x 2 with Horizontal T-Bar Underneath in Black (6488003 | 5066)
  • 3x Tile 2 x 2 with Newspaper, 'EXTRA!' print in White (6415097)
  • 1x (plus 1x spare) Tile Round 1 x 1 with Large Black Dot print in Warm Gold/ Pearl Gold (6511448) also appeared in 10335 The Endurance
  • 2 x Window 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front in Warm Gold/ Pearl Gold (6417940 | 79128)
  • 1x  Flat Cap in Dark Brown (6501311 | 2514) in 10340 Wreath and 10350 Tudor Corner
  • Torso, Dark Blue Bodywarmer, Sand Green Sweater, Name Tag print, Sand Green Arms, Yellow Hands in Earth Blue/ Dark Blue (6528806) which has been in one other set - 21353 The Botanical Garden

Minifigures

2 lego minifigs: a happy woman in a sweater with diamond pattern, and a grumpy looking moustached newspaper seller

There are two minifigures included in the set, but the only rare part is the kiosk seller's torso, already mentioned above.

Sticker sheet

sticker sheet from 40757 Corner Kiosk GwP

There is a small sticker sheet in the set. It includes the main kiosk sign and 4 other stickers used for the newspaper and magazine display.

The 'Travel' stickers feature a somewhat toned figure; regular reader Jane Phoenix wondered if this might be Jack Stone? We think she's right, but why on earth he should feature, we are not sure! Perhaps it is just Jack on his post-retirement travels. Any ideas?

The smaller 1x2 stickers look to be postcards although they seem to have a stamp and frank mark already in place. The final sticker goes on one of the windows to offer some goodies, although the kiosk must be sold out as these goodies are not inside the kiosk!

The kiosk

The kiosk itself starts in a simple manner, built upon the 6x8 plate. There's a little cash register in sand green at the back and a sticker is placed on one of the 2x2 windows.

The two Plate 2 x 2 with Horizontal T-Bar Underneath in black (6488003 | 5066) are used to create the sloped serving area at the front of the kiosk. While hinge bricks could have been used, these newer plates allow a 1x2 plate with door rail to be placed underneath.

Detail of angled elements being added sideways to the lego set 40757 Corner Kiosk GwP

There's a nice little SNOT detail using Slope 45° 2 x 1 with 2/3 Inverted Cutout in sand blue (6248952 | 28192) and Bracket 1 x 1 - 1 x 2 Inverted in black (6335317 | 73825) to give a smooth finish to each corner.

The rear of the kiosk is quite plain but there is space to get your minifigure in there without too much issue.

The kiosk is a cute little build, but no expense has been spared for the rather impressive roof.

Not only does it have compound curves all the way round, but it also has a clock.  Note the use of the Tile Round 1 x 1 with Large Black Dot print in Pearl Gold (6511448 ), otherwise exclusive to 10335 The Endurance at present.

Side builds

lego gumball machine and rotating newspaper display stand

There are two little side builds; the newspaper and magazine display and a gumball machine. We have definitely moved from a British kiosk into something more North American here.  The newspaper display is not something you see out on the street in the UK, as it is likely to be blown over, or get wet!  Gumball machines are also not really seen on UK streets with this sort of newspaper kiosk.

Conclusion

40757 Corner Kiosk GwP on display

This is a cute little GwP and has some nice elements, plus two minifigures to create a scene. It is free between 1 and 7 January 2025 with all purchases of the LEGO Icons 10350 Tudor Corner... while stocks last, which they are not! It appears to have already gone from LEGO.com USA, Canada, Germany and Poland; we are not certain whether there will be a restock on 4 January when the Tudor Corner goes on general availability, so perhaps check then?

Lego Modular Tudor Corner with the Corner Kiosk GwP added to one corner. It's a tight fit.

The slight issue is that there's not really a corner with space for this kiosk on Tudor Corner's baseplate.  Modular Buildings in general do not have a huge amount of pavement space for accessories such as these.

I guess the kiosk could have its own little baseplate; I noticed that Rambling Brick added a little extension in his review.

While set 10350 definitely has an English feel, this corner kiosk is definitely not giving me the same vibe.  With coffee and donuts advertised (but not available in the kiosk), a newspaper display and gumball machine, it's fair to say this kiosk has a more global vibe!

Above are a couple of images of news or snack kiosks in London.  As you can see, the LEGO Corner Kiosk needs a bit of tweaking to fit in with Tudor Corner.

The seller's facial expression is 100% accurate to London though.

Given that availability is limited and indeed seemingly already sold out in some countries, I feel I should point out that here are no exclusive elements other than the sticker sheet, so you can build your own Corner Kiosk using the instructions from LEGO
