The LEGO Group and BBC Studios have unveiled the upcoming LEGO® BLUEY™ playsets at Toy Fair® 2025 in New York City. This is the first time Bluey and her family will be depicted in LEGO form, within six new sets for builders aged 2 to 5: two are LEGO® DUPLO® sets and four are LEGO® System sets with the 4+ age mark.

Let's take a closer look at all six products due to launch on 1 June 2025, as we imagine the interest in these sets will expand well beyond the intended age group.

Conclusion
It is not surprising to see that LEGO has partnered with the Bluey IP, as the hugely popular animated TV series was 2024’s #1 most-watched series on streaming in the U.S. as well as being a top performing kids show in many other countries, including Australia and the UK.
While some older fans may be disappointed the sets are for the younger market, the presence of minifigures and some printed accessories within these sets will enable MOCs galore for the AFOLs.
Many of our team find the minifigures slightly odd-looking, but it is hard to say exactly why or how it could have been better. Similar reactions occurred when LEGO® The Simpsons minifigures first appeared, which became better accepted with time. Perhaps the LEGO DUPLO figures are more to your taste?

The gnome is named Jeremy - not Gerald.
ReplyDeleteYeah the editor mixed up Gerald (red hat) and Jeremy (blue hat). I’ll forgive him…this time 👍
Delete> We don’t spot any recolours but we expect all those decorations are printed.
ReplyDeleteAre the reddish-orange bricks that make up the house's roof not new?
Potentially yes 🙌
DeleteThe car doesn't just have new recolors but also some interesting new molds—the chassis, 6x3 side-by-side seats (so the whole family can fit), and car roof (6x6 with handles) are all new.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. We love to leave details for our readers to spot - thanks!
Delete“Also includes… Unicorse” …aaaaand why should I care? ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I suspect Lego made a compromise between cost, looks and play. They could have made full head and body moulds like Chewbacca, or round bodies like Minions. But even though we love Bluey, I bet the design budget was smaller than, say, Star Wars or Minions. And ordinary minifigures are probably easiest for 4-6 year olds to play with. Not just building but seating, standing, holding things
