Awww, Dolores! The cheapest of all the 6 sets is also the cutest and, we feel, the best value in terms of new elements... even though the "egg details are not included". It is rather concerning that the box art suggests Dolores is about to be eaten, fresh from her egg!

the model of Delores: Aquilops

Dolores is an aquilops, which I am reliably informed by our resident dino expert (Kev's son) is ceratopsian; so it is slightly related to triceratops. Wikipedia reliably informs me ceratopsia are "a group of herbivorous, beaked dinosaurs that thrived in what are now North America, Asia and Europe", and that the aquilops was North American and only discovered in 1997.

More importantly, her feet have black 1x1 domes on them! This is the first opaque colour of this new-for-2025 part, Dome 1 x 1 x 2/3 (6908) which to date has only been seen in two LEGO® Friends sets in trans-orange and trans-bright green. Read more about them in Toby's overview of January 2025 LEGO Friends parts. To get 12 of these in a useful colour in a small set is wonderful news.

That's not all we spotted though;
  • Bracket 1 x 1 - 1 x 2 (79389) is new in Dark Tan,
  • Brick Curved 2 x 2 with Curved Front, 2 Studs (7037) has only appeared in Tan so far but is here in Dark Tan,
  • Tile Special 1 x 3 Inverted with Center Hole (35459) is also in Dark Tan,
  • Slope 33° 2 x 2 Double / Inverted (1762) in Dark Tan,
  • Slope Curved 2 x 2 with Stud Notch (Left 5095 & Right 5093) in Dark Red,
  • Brick Curved 1 x 2 x 1 with Curved Top (5841) in Dark Red which is the new shortened version of the 1990s part,
  • and the new eye print on  a yellow 2x2 round tile.
Can you spot any more?

We're back in more familiar Jurassic World territory with this set. An escaped raptor, a branded jeep and a terrified child!

The souped-up jeep looks really cool with loads of greeble-like details. The minifigures are part of a family who have – oops – accidentally shipwrecked on the most dangerous island on Earth.

Baby Dolores is back! This time at minifigure scale, and with a penchant for red swirly things.

Aside from decorated elements we're having trouble spotting anything new here: only the pistol (30132) in reddish orange or perhaps just orange – either is a new colour for this piece.

Can you help us spot anything else?

76973 Raptor & Titanosaurus Tracking Mission

  • Release date: 1 June 2025
  • Pieces: 582
  • Age: 7+
  • Measurements: over 4 in. (10 cm) high, 8 in. (21 cm) wide and 6 in. (16 cm) deep
Price:

That pesky raptor is still making mischief and he has a little buddy helping to pillage the local "Stego Stop 'n' Go" petrol station... a mighty titanosaurus! This is a highly characterful rendition, particularly the dual-moulded head.

This set is packed with storytelling options. Aside from the shop, there's two more souped-up vehicles and a drone to pilot, plus a campsite you can encourage the titanosaurus to knock a tree onto.

Once again, aside from the decorations/minifigures and aforementioned dinos, we can't see much of interest in the way of new elements. Can you?

76974 Brick-Built Mosasaurus Boat Mission

  • Release date: 1 June 2025
  • Pieces: 858
  • Age: 9+
  • Measurements: over 2.5 in. (6 cm) high, 16.5 in. (42 cm) long and 8 in. (20 cm) wide

Hooray, a second brick-built dino! And it's a terrifying crocodilesque thing (that, like the accompanying boat, does not float). However, it is thought that its closest living relatives are either monitor lizards or snakes.

It looks magnificent with its striped dark brown and olive green skin, and the multiple articulation points should be lots of fun.

The colour scheme of the boat plus fewer greebles make it feel a little out of place among the other vehicles, but it certainly has a sleek and modern design. The rocks it is sliding over have some olive green limpets on them!– a recolour of the versatile minifigure hair tuft (68212) which currently appears in 4 other colours.

In the mesosaur we also see Slope Curved 2 x 1 with Stud Notch (Left 29120 & Right 29119) in olive green at last, and there are surely more olive green recolours in there – perhaps some Brick Curved 1 x 2 x 1 with Curved Top (5841) just before the tail joint?

76975 T. rex Boat Escape

  • Release date: 1 June 2025
  • Pieces: 199
  • Age: 5+
  • Measurements: over 3.5 in. (8 cm) high, 8 in. (20 cm) wide and 5.5 in. (14 cm) deep

Great to see such a big, exciting set for 5 year olds with just 199 parts! Less of interest to adults, perhaps.

Boat / Rubber Raft / Dinghy 6 x 12 (78611) is new in orange, as is the Minifig Neckwear Life Jacket (38781) in red.

lego t rex

Of course, T. rex is the star of the show and the cause of the price.

76976 Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Air Mission

  • Release date: 1 June 2025
  • Pieces: 984

Hooray, let's throw a ruined temple into the mix!

Pearl gold ahoy, and more olive green!

6 wheeled lego vehicle

There's another chunky vehicle, this time a six-wheeler, to add to the range.

With the four minifigures you also get two dinosaurs. The spinosaurus is a new mould, while the quetzalcoatlus is a recolour/new print of the one from 2022's 76947 Quetzalcoatlus Plane Ambush. And are those chains recoloured to dark orange? That's perfect for rust!

Which is your favourite, and what new elements did we miss?

We will be reviewing these sets soon, with the exception of 76973 Raptor & Titanosaurus Tracking Mission.

  1. The new smaller raptor is a big deal, finally one that's accurate to movie scale compared to minifigures

  2. The color scheme isn't identical (these use red instead of dark red), but the vehicles in this wave remind me a lot of the Dino Attack/Dino 2010 theme (especially the funky off-roader in the Titanosaurus set).

  3. Are those 1x1 quarter round tiles in dark brown on the mosasaur? I think that might be new. I've been looking for that one since Go Brick Me came out and I couldn't do the hair the way I wanted without that part.
