LEGO® Pokémon products will be coming in 2026, it has just been revealed. The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company have announced a new partnership, which makes sense given that Pokémon is partly owned by Nintendo, who LEGO have successfully partnered with for several years now. This does presumably mean, however, that Mattel's current license to produce MEGA Construx Pokémon products will be ending in 2026.

Gotta clutch 'em all

Is this going to be a good collaboration? Collecting is a central theme to both Pokémon and LEGO products, and children will enjoy creating their own Pokémon LEGO adventures, battles, and stories. Of course, just like the LEGO community, there is a thriving Pokémon online community who share their creations, so the parallels are clear.

Pokémon was introduced in 1996, so the youngest of early adopters are now aged in their mid-thirties. Purely from a nostalgia angle, there's a market for large sets with more challenging builds. 

We're excited to see what unusual new moulds might be required to successfully portray the Pokémon universe of characters, especially LEGO Pikachu! More news as it comes.

The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International team up to bring the world of Pokémon to life brick by brick.

Today, the LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International announced a new multi-year partnership that will bring LEGO Pokémon to fans for the first time from 2026.

Since the debut of the Pokémon franchise, fans have dreamed of becoming Pokémon Trainers, and now they can take that experience even further... one brick at a time.
